Complementing
Your Complete Process Line Package
For the most reliable freeze
protection or temperature maintenance of your process, rely on
O'Brien's experience to help you design a system specifically for
your unique needs. For peak system performance, we'll work with
you to determine the best possible solution, which may include
some of the following accessories to seal, control, power and
install your bundles.
|
|
Sealing
the Bundle
To prevent any possible moisture
contamination and ensure optimum performance, all bundle ends must
be sealed.
|
 |
TPKSK
- Silicone Sealant
|
 |
TPKES
- Heat Shrink Entry Seal
- Provides an excellent waterproof
fitting where TRACEPAK enters an enclosure.
- Particularly useful in analyzer
applications where you need a waterproof entry into the
analyzer shelter or cabinet. These boots are also air tight
for use with purged enclosures.
- Thermally stabilized, modified
polyolefin entry seal with and O-ring assembly seals the
enclosure.
- Heat shrinkable nose seals the
TRACEPAK bundle.
|
 |
TPKHS
- Heat Shrink Boots
- Good weatherproof end seal,
highly recommended for all exposed ends.
- Made of high quality thermally
stabilized, modified polyolefin.
- Provides excellent weather seal
protection.
|
 |
TPKJP
- Jacket Patch
- Perfect for sealing a splice in
the bundle.
- Used for extending the
insulation and weatherproof jacket if the if the bundle is cut
back too far during installation.
- Good for repairing any
incidental field damage or capillary bulb installations.
- Contains thermal insulation,
fiberglass tape and a self-sealing patch.

Sensing
and Controlling the Temperature
Used with electrically traced
tubing bundles, thermostats control the temperature of the process
tube or turn on the heater at a specific ambient temperature,
ensuring an accurate, consistent process.
|
 |
Line
Sensing Thermostat
- TPKTS-B-7 controls the
temperature of the process tubes, providing a consistent,
reliable process.
- Withstands process temperatures
from -65ºF (54ºC) to 500ºF (260ºC).
- UL and FM listed for class I and
II, division 1 and 2, groups B, C, D, E, F and G areas.
- CSA certified for Class I, II
and III, Division 1 and 2, and Groups C, D, E, F and G areas.
- Features a fluid filled
stainless steel bulb with 10' capillary.
- SPDT switch rated for 22A at
125/250/480 VAC.
|
 |
Ambient
Sensing
- TPKTS-A-7 senses ambient temperature
with an adjustable set point of 14ºF (-10ºC) to 140ºF (60ºC).
- Withstands ambient temperatures
of -40ºF (-40ºC) to 160ºF (71ºC).
- Contains a fluid filled stainless
steel probe.
- SPDT switch rated for 22A at 125/250/480
VAC.
- UL listed and CSA certified for
Class I, II and III, Division 1 and 2, and Group B, C, D, E,
F and G areas.

Model
HC5
The model HC5 is an economical
on/off controller. The HC5 controller is well suited for Heated
Hose or TRACEPAK non hazardous installations. Desired control temperature
is set with a knob and scale marked in both °F and °C. The controller
is equipped with power, heater on, and open heater indication. A
local master power switch is located on the outside of the enclosure
and a replaceable fuse is located on the front panel. SPECIFICATIONS |
 |
Model HC10
The HC10 is a compact digital indicating controller with auto-tune
PID features. The seven segment display can be set to normally
indicate set point or actual temperature. Three discrete LEDs
indicate operation. The HC10 provides a single temperature sensor
input and dual outputs, which may be programmed for heat, cool,
alarm or timer functions.

with any wattage P, MN and N15 or N20 tracers. Installs in
customer supplied junction box with M25 hub.
|
|

|
Combination
Power Connection Kits
- Used with the T-Series
heaters to power the tracer form the heater junction box in
the instrument enclosure.
- A practical and economical
choice for supplying power to the tracer if an outside
junction box is not required.

Installation
The following tools make
installation of TRACEPAK tube bundles easier and more compact,
saving you time and simplifying installation.
|
 |
Bundle
Bending Tool
Similar to a common electrical conduit bender, this tool is
compact and easy to use. It eliminates the need for larger and
heavier benders that have the required 8" minimum bending
radius. |
 |
2
1/8" Centerline Tool
A replacement tool for standard tube bender, it brings the process
tubes to the correct centerline for connecting to typical
transmitters. This tool makes back-to-back bends easier,
accomplishing the bends in a much shorter distance than possible
with a standard tube bender. |
